This project beautifully merges cultural heritage with thoughtful design, featuring a beautifully packaged gift for Hag El Laila, inspired by origami bindles.
The first design showcases intricate illustrations of traditional Emirati men's attire, including the bisht, ghutra, and egal. The second design features illustrations of traditional jewelry worn by Emirati women in the past. Both packages are held together by a wooden stick, reminiscent of a bindle, and are accented with a delicate tassel and tag. The tag includes a snippet of local Hag El Laila folk chants that children sing while visiting neighbors and collecting candy.
